MOBILITY SCOOTER HUB
TERMS & CONDITIONS
Last updated: 27 September 2026

These Terms & Conditions apply to the use of MobilityScooterHub.co.uk (the “Website”). By using the Website
or placing an advertisement, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

1. About Mobility Scooter Hub
Mobility Scooter Hub is an online advertising platform specialising in mobility scooters.
The Website enables private sellers, dealers and other advertisers to advertise mobility scooters for sale and
enables prospective buyers to contact advertisers.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, Mobility Scooter Hub is not the owner, seller, buyer or dealer of mobility
scooters advertised by third parties.

2. Our Role
Mobility Scooter Hub provides advertising space and does not normally take part in negotiations or transactions
between buyers and sellers.
Any agreement to buy or sell a mobility scooter is made directly between the buyer and seller.
We do not act as an agent for either party and do not take ownership of scooters advertised by third parties.

3. Placing an Advertisement
Advertisers must provide accurate and honest information.
Advertisements should contain sufficient information to give prospective buyers a fair description of the mobility
scooter being offered.
Advertisers are responsible for the wording, photographs, price and other information contained in their
advertisements.

4. Advertiser Responsibilities
By placing an advertisement, you confirm that you are legally entitled to advertise and sell the mobility scooter;
the information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge; photographs used in the advertisement
are yours or you have permission to use them; the advertisement is not misleading; the item is not stolen or
otherwise unlawfully offered for sale; and you will comply with applicable UK law.
Dealers and other business sellers remain responsible for complying with all consumer protection laws that
apply to their sales.

5. Buyers
Buyers are responsible for satisfying themselves about a mobility scooter before agreeing to purchase it. This
may include checking its condition, suitability, specification, ownership, price and the identity of the seller.

Where possible, buyers should inspect a scooter and satisfy themselves that it is suitable before purchasing it.
Mobility Scooter Hub does not independently inspect, test or certify third-party scooters unless an advertisement
expressly states otherwise.

6. Prices and Payments Between Buyers and Sellers
The advertised price of a mobility scooter is set by the advertiser.
Any payment for a mobility scooter is made directly between the buyer and seller unless the Website expressly
states otherwise.
Mobility Scooter Hub is not responsible for payments made directly between buyers and sellers or for disputes
concerning those payments.

7. Advertising Fees
Mobility Scooter Hub may offer free and paid advertising options.
Any applicable advertising price will be displayed before an advertiser commits to purchase a paid listing.
Prices and promotional offers may change from time to time. A change will not retrospectively alter an
advertising service that has already been purchased.

8. Cancellation of Paid Advertising
Where an individual purchases advertising as a consumer online, statutory cancellation rights may apply.
The normal cancellation period for a distance service contract is 14 days from the date the contract is entered
into.
If you expressly ask us to begin providing the advertising service during that 14-day period, the service may
begin immediately.
If you subsequently cancel within the cancellation period after requesting early performance, you may be
required to pay a proportionate amount for the service already supplied.
If the advertising service has been fully performed within the cancellation period after your express request and
acknowledgement that your cancellation right will be lost once the service is fully performed, your statutory right
to cancel may end at that point.
Nothing in these Terms affects rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

9. Prohibited Advertisements and Content
Advertisements must not contain unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, discriminatory, obscene or deliberately
misleading material.
You must not use the Website to advertise stolen goods or items that you do not have authority to sell.
We may refuse, suspend or remove advertisements that breach these Terms, appear fraudulent, create a safety
or legal concern, or are otherwise inappropriate for the Website.

10. Fraud and Scams

Users should take reasonable precautions when communicating with people they do not know.
Mobility Scooter Hub cannot guarantee the identity or honesty of every user.
Users should be cautious about unusual payment requests, requests to send money before seeing an item,
suspicious links and requests for financial or security information.
Suspected fraudulent advertisements or activity should be reported to us.

11. Accuracy and Availability
We aim to keep the Website operating correctly but cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.
Information contained in advertisements is generally supplied by advertisers. We do not guarantee that every
advertisement is complete, accurate or up to date.
We may change, suspend or withdraw Website features where reasonably necessary.

12. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death
or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
Subject to applicable law, Mobility Scooter Hub is not responsible for the condition, quality, safety, legality or
ownership of mobility scooters advertised by third parties or for whether a buyer or seller completes a
transaction.
We are not responsible for disputes arising directly between buyers and sellers where Mobility Scooter Hub is
not a party to their contract.
Nothing in these Terms affects a consumer’s statutory rights.

13. Intellectual Property
The Mobility Scooter Hub name, branding, Website design and original Website content belong to us or are
used with permission.
Users must not copy or commercially exploit our Website content without permission.
Advertisers retain responsibility for material they upload and grant Mobility Scooter Hub permission to display,
reproduce and resize that material as reasonably necessary to operate and promote their advertisement and the
Website.

14. Privacy and Personal Information
We take users’ privacy seriously.
When you register, advertise, contact us or otherwise use the Website, we may collect information such as your
name, email address, telephone number, account information, advertisement details and information about your
use of the Website.
We use personal information only where we have an appropriate lawful basis and for purposes connected with
operating and securing the Website, providing advertising services, administering accounts and listings,
responding to enquiries, processing payments where applicable, preventing fraud and complying with legal
obligations.
We do not sell users’ personal information.

15. Changes to These Terms

The latest version will be published on the Website together with its revision date.
Changes will not remove statutory rights that have already arisen.
